Welcome to our new website!!
Here at George Coleman Ford, we consider ourselves a dealer for the people. We hold the customer in the highest regard, and we don't believe that a sale ends with the delivery of a vehicle. We believe in a transparent, no pressure, buying experience, that really aims to set us apart from the pack. Offering the best customer service doesn't come at a premium here at George Coleman Ford. The competitive Greenville market drives down our prices, and cars really do "Cost Less in Travelers Rest".
It all started in 1930 with a determined entrepreneur named George Coleman. A distinguished man, he maintained a strong presence in the Travelers Rest area. He worked busting moonshiners in the area as a State Constable, and later, became the very first Mayor of Travelers Rest. He opened the dealership at a time when Henry Ford was still running the show, and the Ford brand was showing the world how to mass produce vehicles for the first time. The Model T and Model A were the cars of choice in the early 30's; they were also known as "horseless carriages". Since our humble beginnings, the dealership has outlasted a number of triumphs and tribulations in our area, including a world war and a great depression. Our continued success can all be attributed to our loyal base of customers, and the new customers that we add to the family every day.
Family is something we know very well. George Coleman Ford has been owned and operated by the Coleman family since day 1.That ownership has lasted 4 generations and spanned 84 years. At our heart we are just a small town dealership that operates under the philosophy, "do to others as you would have them do to you".
